Tonight’s dinner: Mom’s meat pie

One of my favorite meals growing up and it is sooo easy to make!

Start with a pound of lean ground beef. Sautee in a pan with one chopped onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Drain off any excess fat. To that add 1 can of tomato soup, 1 can of Vegetable beef soup, 1 cubed small potato, 3 Tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, and any other vegetables of your choice (carrots, celery, zucchini, squash are all good). Heat through.

Pour this mixture into a pie plate (bottom crust optional) and cover with pie crust. Cut slits in the top to vent. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 – 30 min or until the crust is golden brown. Let cool for 10 min and enjoy!

Trust me, it tastes better than it looks, I promise! There’s never any leftovers. Even Evan ate it all up. Yum!
